Dr. N.V.Arunachalam Memorial Endowment Lecture on 12th September, 2012

Er. M.Ramanathan, Chief Engineer (Chennai Metro Rail Project) and Guest Speaker spoke on the very topical Subject “Constructing Under Ground Metro Station” in Chennai. He had, prior to this Assignment, more than a Decade of experience in Hong Kong Metro Construction.

He explained the enormous technical and other difficulties one encounters and the precautions being taken for Safety and Speed of work while executing such a complex Project. He highlighted the Cut, Construct and Close method of constructing the Underground Stations.

The Meeting was well attended by the Alumni, Faculty and Students of CEG. Mrs. Krishnaveni Arunachalam also graced the Occasion

Dr. M.Sekar, Dean, CEG and Vice President, AACEG welcomed the Guest Speaker and the Gathering. Er. S.Chidambaram, Vice President, AACEG presented a Memento to the Guest Speaker in token of our Appreciation for sparing his time and sharing his Experience and Knowledge.
